Hi. My name is Shawna. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and hold a Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science. I have worked as a mental health clinician for 15+ years in community, forensic, ER, and private practice settings. Utilizing individualized treatment strategies, I work collaboratively with clients to assist them with reaching their specific goals. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to: Relationship/Marriage Counseling, Family Issues, Anxiety, Depression, Grief, PTSD, Trauma, Self-esteem Building, Emotional Dysregulation, Personality D/O, Mood D/O, Psychotic D/O, Adolescent Issues, ADHD, and Life Coaching.
I have specialized training in grief counseling, PTSD and Trauma, emotional dysregulation, and personality disorders. I am certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). DBT helps individuals and couples manage intense emotions and identify problematic behavioral patterns and ways of thinking that have fostered unwanted consequences in their life.
