Hi, my name is Elena Wang. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I believe, the success of therapy greatly depends on the quality of the relationship between the therapist and the patient. This is why I focus on connecting and creating a safe space to help you share, explore your life, and find ways to improve it. I work with people from various backgrounds including tech workers juggling demanding jobs with personal life, immigrants grappling with a cultural shift and its impact on their identity, and those in crisis seeking relief from their pain.
I am interested in how inter-generational trauma impacts relationship patterns, health issues stemming from imbalances in life, anxiety and depression, multi-cultural relationships, and more. I practice Psychodynamic and Relational approaches where I work with the unconscious to understand the circumstances the problems were originally created for.
We'll explore the childhood experiences to see how they impacted your personality, decision-making process, and the ability to develop and maintain healthy relationships later in life. Once you understand the original circumstances around which the problem was developed, you can get control over it and will be able to change it.
