There is a lot of "noise" in the world today; so much to sift through, including these profiles of many therapists to decide who is worth your energy in contacting. My goal is to break through the "noise" and authentically explore your experiences, growth, and distress. My work has included helping those experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD (e.g., sexual assault, military/combat trauma), life transitions, and work/life/school stress. I have been trained in working from a multicultural perspective working with various identity considerations and related stress including w LGBTQIA+, college students, veterans, and other populations.
I believe in collaborative therapy and considering a whole person’s context in investigating why we do what we do and in what ways we are able to create growth in our lives. I value hearing client’s stories and then incorporating therapies within treatment that works for you. I also have been specifically trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD.
I believe life will find ways to make being a human difficult and even typical life events can catch us emotionally off guard. I welcome being a part of your support system to help guide you through challenging life events and mental health difficulties. Lastly, I believe in strengths-based assessment and therapy, using what makes you, you, to help you grow.
