I find that I work well with clients who have had relational trauma that affects their current relationships with themselves and others. This can often present in the form of negative self-talk and self-esteem, perfectionism, persistent feelings of guilt and shame, anxiety, and depression. I have ample experience working specifically with those who have a history of abuse from a partner, friend, or family member, adult children of narcissistic parents, LGBTQIA+, religious trauma, those deconstructing religion, exvangelical.
I utilize a client centered approach and incorporate family systems as well as cognitive behavioral therapy to help my clients better understand themselves. I work with clients collaboratively and problem-solve tools to make positive change. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and utilize a trauma-informed approach when appropriate.
