My primary focus of therapeutic services is to provide a conducive, safe, and confidential format that will ensure personal growth. Enabling the individual to regain functional capabilities which is the ultimate goal. In order to regain functionality and growth individuals in therapeutic settings may have to discuss pleasant/unpleasant aspects of their lives and may experience uncomfortable feelings such as anxiety, fear, shame, guilt, hatred, anger, and frustration. However, through counseling, clients learn how to appreciate themselves, make better decisions and become more open about themselves and the world they live in.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and I have a B.A. in Psychology and a M.S. in Mental health Counseling. I am a member of the Mental Health Counseling Association. I will provide vast array of different techniques into the therapeutic process depending on each clients unique needs.
Clients relationships with me are professional and therapeutic. Although I care about helping my clients, Section A.5 of the American Counseling Association Code of Ethics prohibits me from having personal and/or businesses relationships with clients. As this could effect and undermine the effectiveness of a therapeutic process
