Life is a long journey that is often filled with ups and downs. With a warm and non-judgmental approach, my goal is to help children and adults through these challenges by meeting them where they are, providing opportunities to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of criticism. I have previous experience working closely with community programs, special education schools, and psychiatric units, providing music therapy as an alternative of care for individuals dealing with symptoms of depression, anxiety, and developmental disabilities.
As a music therapist and Counseling intern, I believe in the human connection that exists when engaging in music activities. Furthermore, my fluency in Spanish allows me to work closely with Hispanic individuals and families facing difficulties related to acculturative stress and emotional processing.
Through a humanistic approach, I aim to create spaces where clients feel empowered to make positive, constructive choices that honor their uniqueness and individuality.
