As a psychotherapist, I often see people who are feeling overwhelmed and need help in managing life's challenges. Working together, we address these problems, finding new paths to healthy growth and change. I work with clients on a range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, dysfunctional patterns, trauma, relationship concerns, family dynamics, major life transitions/adjustments and career direction. I believe that trust is the cornerstone of effective therapy, and my style is warm and interactive. Throughout the course of therapy, I provide practical tools and life skills to help clients manage their day-to-day lives.
I have found that no single theoretical approach is effective for everyone, so I draw on a selection of techniques and frameworks, including attachment theory (based on significant relationships throughout the lifespan), insight oriented approaches, dialectic and cognitive behavioral therapy, among others.
I consider it a privilege to work with people on their deepest concerns, and it is exciting to see clients grow and become empowered during the course of therapy. I offer income-based, sliding scale fees as necessary for out-of-network clients and look forward to the possibility of working with you.
