The practice of therapy is often the practice of relationship in a safe, structured, and contained environment. My clients deal with issues related to trauma, depression, anxiety, ADD, ADHD, relationship, sexual orientation and gender identity. Each client comes in with a different story, background, and constellation of experiences and capabilities. When we engage and work together, it is that connection that leads to therapeutic change.
While my practice is based largely on the humanistic theories described by Relational Psychoanalysis and Existential Phenomenology, I am also trained in and utilize adult integrative psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Finding a therapist is a challenging and critical decision. It's important that both parties feel like they can work together. Call me and schedule a free initial half-hour consultation. If in that session we feel like we'd like to work together, we can plan and schedule to meet again. If not I will help you find another therapist.
