Instilling hope in others and journeying with individuals to find meaning, purpose, and fulfillment in their lives is my "why" as a therapist. I believe that meeting people where they are and pacing them through their concerns with grace, truth, and gentleness fosters growth and opportunities to explore the deepest parts of ourselves. A counselor and client's relationship should be based on trust, empathy, and genuine concern. With this as a foundation, I believe that together, we can find solutions, resources, and strategies to aid you in achieving your goals.
My clinical focus includes treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, grief and loss, spiritual concerns, relationship issues, women’s issues, and self-esteem issues among adolescents (15+) and adults. I am especially sensitive to the challenges of immigrants, first-generation Americans, African-Americans, and those of Afro-Caribbean descent.
