So many people have companion animals, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, all different kinds of animals that are family members. When our companion animals die, we are often extremely grief stricken, and live in a society that might not understand that grief. As a counseling psychologist who has dogs and cats, I certainly understand that grief and the need for support. I’m a licensed counselor who offers grief counseling for pet loss.
