I specialize in providing therapy to adult children of immigrant families, adults who have been parentified as children, and eldest daughters within their family system. I am attuned to how intergenerational trauma is passed down, and how these ancestral legacies can leave an imprint on how you relate to yourself, your family, and your community. I acknowledge how systems of power and cultural dynamics have a real impact on your psyche.
My goal is to create a supportive space for you to explore your story and identity. I pay close attention to what you are saying (and/or not saying) and how you are expressing your feelings. I will ask questions and provide reflections to help you grow. We will examine your suffering and try to follow the threads that lead us to unknown parts of yourself.
With the right therapist, therapy can be transformative. You will meet more authentic versions of yourself. Therapy can help you resolve inner conflict, change destructive behaviors, and develop more compassion for yourself and others.
