Are you feeling depressed or anxious and dissatisfied with your life- relationship issues? work problems? too much stress? I am a seasoned clinician with 27 years of training in both short-term cognitive behavioral therapy and longer term intensive psychodynamic psychotherapy. My strength is in helping you figure out what is within your control and what is not. My overriding interest is in challenging/supporting you to let go of maladaptive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are interfering with your ability to achieve your life goals and realize your fullest potential.
I have a profound belief in the importance of becoming ever more aware of not only the price we all pay for remaining stuck in patterns that are no longer serving us but also our investment -even so- in maintaining those problematic ways of acting, reacting, and interacting.
One of my specialties is short-term time limited work. 6-8 sessions of more intensive work. It would be my pleasure to offer you and initial complimentary in-person session. This would give us the opportunity to get a sense of how we can best work together. During the summer therapy sessions are done via phone.
