For clients who are dealing with unhealthy, and sometimes even harmful sexual behaviors, their struggle is often enshrouded in shame and secrecy. These behaviors can affect anyone. Immediate access to pornography and the cloak of anonymity make it easy to become ensnared in unwanted behaviors. For clients who are dealing with concerns about their sexual functioning, it is often due to multiple causes that can be medical, relational, and/or psychological in nature. Often it is difficult to talk about these concerns with others around us given how private and personal these concerns are.
My primary focus is helping clients develop healthy sexual behavior and effective sexual functioning. My relational approach is to help you unravel shame, understand and overcome traumatic past experiences, and develop healthy sexual behavior and functioning, leading to a more fulfilling life and stronger, more meaningful relationships.
In addition to sexual behavior, I work with First Responders and those struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation.
