I have counseled hundreds of clients in a wide range of issues, including: All addictions and counseling to deal with a loved one's addiction. Trauma: PTSD, Sexual, Physical, or Emotional Abuse. Anxiety Disorders: Agoraphobia, Panic, OCD, Generalized Anxiety. ADHD. Family problems. Life Problems: Grief & Loss, Stress, Toxic Work Environment or Relationship, Difficult Life Transitions, Self-Esteem, Shyness, Health-related issues, Chronic Pain, Severe Self-Criticism, Wanting to find purpose and meaning or even a reason to live. My primary modality is Internal Family Systems.
I make a point of creating safety and trust with clients so they feel heard and understood. I try to tailor what I do to their particular needs. In a sense, I create a new approach for every client that comes along; however, I find Internal Family Systems a very useful approach.
My practice is online only, which is perfect for anyone who for whatever reason has difficulty making it to a therapist's office, and much more convenient for all concerned. Studies have found that online therapy is just as effective as in-person, and sometimes better. I started before the pandemic hit and have a lot of experience with it.
