Hello, my name is Kara Kihm and I specialize in working with Highly Sensitive People. I have a special place in my heart for highly sensitive women, empaths and intuitives because I am all of those. I work with individuals who are anxious, exhausted, burned out from life and are functioning off of adrenaline and cortisol to make it through the day. I offer an 8 week nervous system regulation course to help you find balance in your life, in your body, and with your emotions. During the course you will receive weekly modules, meditations, affirmations and journal exercises in addition to weekly one-on-one therapy sessions.
In this course, I use an integrative approach focusing on the mind, body, and spirit. I incorporate DBT, CBT, somatic healing, meditative practices, breathing, imagery, intuition, astrology and a practice called Mana Gardening. When I learned work with my sensitivities, began to honor them, and found my faith as the pillar of my life, everything transformed.
This Nervous System Regulation class, will help you: Feel safe in the world and in your body, Learn to trust your life path, Feel centered and grounded, Create a healthy relationship with your sensitivities, Listen to your inner wisdom and intuition which is the voice of God speaking through you, and reduce anxiety/ depression and mental health symptoms

Like so many people I have faced unanticipated storms. Following a devastating divorce, I took a sabbatical for one year and I drove from Virginia to Alaska alone. I had the opportunity to live in the home of a Reiki master, an experience that shifted my focus from using solely traditional psychotherapy to incorporating energy work. Energy work became the foundation for incorporating a new type of therapy with my clients. I then realized that prayer is energy and I came to strongly believe in the healing power of prayer as a way to assist my clients in healing.
