My role is to hold space and provide compassionate, open-minded support for clients as they work through life’s challenges and dive into the process of discovering who they are on a deeper level. As an art therapist, I also offer experience in the use of art making as a non-verbal, creative means of expressing emotions, building inner resources, and developing personal agency. Sometimes it can be difficult to describe our internal world with words alone, but the combination of art and traditional talk therapy can make for a powerful mode of healing. I have worked with clients on issues pertaining to life transitions, loss, depression, identity, relationships, anxiety, and trauma. Having been born in the Philippines and moving to the US at a young age, I also have a personal understanding of the immigrant experience. In addition, I received training as a birth doula and a strong interest in spirituality.
