Hello! I'm so glad you're here! My name is Diane Crockett. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am licensed in the states of Georgia and Illinois. I have a background in Substance Abuse and working with Clients who have Chronic Diseases. I am here to support individuals and families as they address their mental health challenges. My theoretical approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. CBT is an evidence-based that uses talk therapy to help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It's most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems.
Ever since I was a child, I always admired those individuals who went out of their way to help people in a kind and considerate manner. I learned that those people were called therapists. I am driven to do this work because I can see how being a therapist can positively impact our clients and their family lives.
During our first session, clients can expect to be met with a kind, compassionate therapist who is ready to listen to clients' concerns. Building a therapeutic rapport and gaining a clear understanding of how we can work together to effect positive change.
