People want to be understood. Everyone wants to feel good yet each day our moods change as life’s circumstances intrude. Many times, the trauma we have experienced or our negative self-talk work to prevent us from good decisions. You may be considering counseling because you want to change something about yourself. This is where I come in. I listen to your story and help you gain clarity. I use talk, cognitive techniques, support, a positive attitude, emotional reframing, physical awareness, mindfulness, homework, articles that pertain to your issues, and referrals. Together we can help you attain your goals.
Understanding emotions and freeing oneself from old negative messages is a journey which takes some work. When we make changes, we take a leap of understanding first and then our emotional being has to catch up so that the head and heart are in sync. I work with you to uncover negative messages and release them for healing to occur.
