How can I help? Are you or someone worried about your performance in school or in your sport? Are you returning to play and recovering from an injury, and not sure what to do and where your future is headed? I specialize in working with adolescents, families and athletes who often struggle to figure these things out. You shouldn't have to do it alone! I have over 20 years experience in counseling and training counselors. My background is working in both high schools and college settings. As a counselor focused on athletic well being I often look to how mental health impacts daily functionality and performance in sport. Be well!
My holistic approach to counseling is with a solution focused approach through a trauma informed lens by also paying special attention to motivation and resilience factors in each client/athlete. I tailor my particular focus to what each person needs, which may include the use of mindfulness, imagery, visualization, narrative therapy and/or DBT techniques.
