Do you struggle in relationships or have difficulty dealing with emotions? You’re not alone. Therapy can be the first step in finding insight and making a positive change. My name is Diana May and I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. I have a graduate degree in Counseling Psychology and offer counseling services to people of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Whether you’re new to therapy or returning back to therapy I offer an environment that is laid back, nonjudgmental, and free to be your most authentic self. So let’s laugh together and seek solutions together.
I specialize in counseling individuals and couples to uncover the benefits of therapy. I help people dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma and mood disorders (to name a few) explore their thoughts, feelings and worries without judgment. Additionally, I guide clients in rediscovering their self-esteem/self-confidence and examine episodes of self-doubt.
Through talk therapy and applicable interventions, clients receive nonjudgmental, unbiased feedback, and are respected for their differences. I offer you a period of time that is all about you! I encourage you to reach out and explore the benefits of therapy designed to fit you.

Properly identifying the problem is essential. Once the Client has identified their problem discussing what prompted the problem, understanding why the problem has become a problem is essential and implementing applicable interventions are needed. Corrective behaviors/thought processing and interventions that provide more insight and awareness is also important. Consistency is paramount.

I prefer using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy initially because often a change in our thoughts thus affecting the way we feel are why many seek therapy. However, depending on the needs of the client, will determine the modality used. If clients have the capacity to uncover solutions on their own but just require some guidance in getting there, using a Person Center approach is key.
