Finding a therapist can be a daunting task! You may have never tried therapy before, or you have tried therapy before and been disappointed. With 30 years of experience, I offer a safe, knowledgeable, outcome-oriented treatment approach, tailored to your needs. My proficiency includes the areas of grief/loss, depression, anxiety, self esteem, parenting, interpersonal and couples' issues. I am trained in traditional psychotherapy, but have chosen Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as my primary treatment modality. Benifits of using CBT are well documented. The basic idea is this: feelings are generated by thoughts. If you can change the way you think, you can change the way you feel!
