Our therapists utilize all the acronyms you've seen a million times on these websites in therapy (CPT, DBT, CBT, ACT), but we don't want to throw acronyms at you but explain that we love to use therapy as a tool to manage emotions healthily, process trauma, focus on issues in your life, making being neurodivergent work for you instead of against you, reduce "people pleasing" behaviors, set and achieve goals, battle and cope with addiction, and LGBTQIA+ based stressors (don't worry, you won't have to educate your therapist on your sexuality or gender here!).
InclusiFlora is built upon being neuroaffirmative, LGBTQIA+ affirmative, trauma-informed, and culturally competent for all (BIPOC affirmative and allied). We focus on working with trauma, LGBTQIA+, folx making neurodivergency work for them, specialty with religious trauma, self-harm, couples counseling, BPD, grief, anxiety, and depression. We work with teens and adults in SC, NC and FL. We love working through the good, the bad, and the ugly and supporting our clients to make life feel just a little lighter for them. Text or call today for your FREE-15 minute consult, to make sure you feel like we're a good fit!

I pull from a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as ACT, DBT, and CBT, but most importantly, I am strengths-based and client-centered.
Being a teen is tough! Juggling the demands of school, extracurriculars, friends, and family all while figuring out who you are and how you fit into the world can leave you feeling exhausted, confused, and burned out. If you are feeling this way, know that you are not alone and what you are going through is not forever.

I primarily work with adults who experience emotional dysregulation, relationship issues, and an inability to cope with the stressors of everyday life. With a background in addiction counseling, I am able to support people with substance abuse and dependency; and as a former hospital chaplain, I have a passion for working with people who are experiencing difficulties adapting to life’s changes. I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Gestalt Therapy, blending these two therapies together I use an emotionally supportive and experiential approach called Schema Therapy.

My therapeutic approaches include client-centered, DBT, CBT, and EMDR.
Welcome, you made it! Often times the hardest part of therapy is taking that first step to reach out and ask for help. People find their ways to therapy (or back to therapy) for many reasons - you might feel overwhelmed, be experiencing difficult life changes and transitions, have stress in relationships, or have been in survival mode for so long and want a different quality of life moving forward. The good news is whatever you are experiencing, you don't have to walk this road alone.

I have found the approach of CBT and DBT to be incredibly impactful.
Does life feel overwhelming right now? Anxiety, depression, and trauma have a way of dictating our thoughts and taking control. In other words, emotions are hard! It’s incredible how long the human body can hold in all the chaos that life brings. I want to help you let go of all of the distress you’ve been holding on to and take back that control. Life will always be unpredictable, however, together we can find ways to navigate through the storms.

CBT with ACT, along with Adlerian, DBT, and Reality Therapy.
I specialize in women's mental health and only treat women. Psychology is a science and an art. I see therapy through the same lens. As specific as the brain can be, there also has to be some flexibility to really understand how someone thinks. I worked in psychology research for 10 years and have been a therapist for 9 years. I am a National Certified Counselor, a Qualified Supervisor, and will be finishing my PhD in 2025. My research and focus in therapy is centered around women’s issues, our cognitive processing, and how our social environment affects our lives.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists

Who is DBT for?

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?

The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?

Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?

Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
