I am often reminded of how brave it is for someone to pursue counseling. What a vulnerable and courageous thing to do - to ask a stranger for help. It is my greatest privilege and passion to come alongside parents as they endeavor to care the best way they can for the people in their care. My hope as a counselor is to help families find new ways of relating and flourishing together. Many things in life can throw us emotionally off balance. I am here to help you find your footing and provide a safe space while doing so. I want all of my clients (big or small) to walk away feeling connected and delighted in for simply who they are.
Attachment theory drives my work but I also incorporate family systems work, play therapy, interpersonal processing, trauma-based practices, and emotional regulation skills. I have completed Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) Level 1 Training as well as Theraplay Level 1 Training and am pursuing certification in both modalities.
I work with families and individuals. Some of the issues clients come in for include trauma, adoption, grief, sexuality, anxiety, depression, and relational struggles. Many things make this life difficult, but you do not have to go about it alone. It would be a privilege to support you in this season.
