As a therapist specializing in outdoor experiences, I utilize DBT and mindfulness to support clients in PTSD from outdoor traumas, grief & loss & working with outdoor first responders. I help my client’s improve their self talk to be more compassionate towards themselves, to embody a confident and more focused path forward, to process grief, loss, and guilt, and help them gain courage back into their own lives so they can continue to enjoy the outdoors
My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment, combining traditional techniques such as DBT, ACT, and CBT partnered with the outdoors for better mental well-being and self-connection. I use visualization and mindfulness techniques partnered with motivational interviewing, coaching, and solution focused brief therapy to best support my patients.
