My approach to clinical work utilizes a solution-focused cognitive behavioral model of therapy. I not only believe in safety and coping skills as the root of personal change but also believe psychotherapy must offer more than the ability to cope. I promote thriving, rather than merely surviving. I aim to help clients reach their fullest potential through engaging dialogue and action. My primary focus of therapy has been with therapy for young adults, adults, men women and their substance abuse and how their family has been impacted. I incorporate frank substantive information with the wisdom that the human condition is about being joyful with appreciation for self and life.
While asking for help can be a frightening experience, it doesn't have to be. I strive to take the frightening out of therapy, and utilize empowering strategies to help individuals become the very best they can be.
