I offer therapy based upon Mindfulness Skills Training. This type of psychotherapy is a gentle, effective method that will help you overcome negative thoughts, feelings, emotions as well as habitual reactive patterns. You will learn to become a neutral observer and manage life's stressful events in a calmer, healthier fashion. You will develop skills that help you improve the qualities in your interpersonal relationships. These skills are based in DBT, the theraputic skill of Focusing along with mind//body awareness techniques and meditation tools. Weekly homework helps you integrate this skills into your daily life.
I have been licensed as a clinical psychologist since July 1990. My specialties include, eating disorders, disordered eating, binge eating as well as depression, anxiety and addictions. Since 2004 my theraputic approach is based on Buddhist philosophy.
