People come to Dr. Giblin with problems of anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship problems. She has been in practice for 30 years working with adults of all ages. She is attuned to understanding childhood patterns that no longer work and may contribute to one's current stress. Dr. Giblin is trained in both psychodynamic understanding and also in EMDR and the newer modes of somatic intervention. She is focused and goal oriented, while maintaining a constancy of compassion and care. She works with your strongest intention to create a peaceful and esteeming approach to yourself and with the people most important to you.
Are you a couple recycling the same arguments? Dr. Giblin is trained in the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy so that couples discover a new dance of closeness and trust. Or are you a person needing help with anxiety, depression or PTSD? Dr. Giblin is trained in EMDR and other mind/body techniques to help you find love and care for yourself.
It is important in the first sessions to establish a sense of trust. I will ask what brings you to therapy and support you in developing initial goals in addressing the presenting problem. Also tell me how you have gone through your different developmental stages. To come into your sense of empowerment and love is the purpose of all of our life stages.
