My name is Denise Martinez, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Los Angeles, California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with young adults, adults, older adults, and couples addressing a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, grief, family conflict, relationship conflict, gender identity, alcohol/addiction, career/work matters, school stress, parenting, aging, and life transitions, to name a few.
My communication style is to be fully present, listen to gain understanding, and be open to gain clarification. My goal is to create a safe, trusting environment where my client feels heard. I decided to become a therapist because I am truly interested in people, their lives, their stories, and their experiences. I have a genuine desire to support clients to heal, to feel better when they experience upsets in their lives.
