I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both individual and group settings. The clients I have worked with have struggled with eating disorders, self-injury, anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. I work with my client on developing healthy coping skills, such as grounding and relaxation techniques, to help alleviate the stress brought on by triggering thoughts and situations. In addition, I work with my client on creating short term and long term goals to motivate and establish a strong sense of self.
I specialize in eating disorders, self-injury, and anxiety. My approach to counseling combines Client-Centered, Goal Oriented, Cognitive Behavioral theories, Mindfulness, and other Skill based techniques. If a client prefers, I can also integrate Christian counseling approaches as well.
