I have worked with various populations (adolescents to adults, different races, LGBTQ, etc). I mostly use the positive psychology and talk therapy (psychotherapy) approach. It is important to aim towards focusing on what one do well and thrive in (increasing one's strengths, building positive emotions) rather than just coping with negative experiences. I like using a variety of treatments to help a person identify and change troubling emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Other approaches I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy, and Reality Therapy.
