My practice is currently full to new clients except for supervision clients. I have been practicing since 1996. I spent eight years at Northwest Youth Services working with teens and their families. I have been in private practice since 2003 and work with individuals, couples and teens. I have a dynamic personal style and use a variety of approaches to help clients improve. I use psychoeducation and a systemic perspective, which looks for the patterns in our behavior. I take on-going training in improving marriage. I have been trained in EMDR, TFT, and other "power therapies" for people with PTSD or long standing trauma.
I enjoy the process of human growth in all forms. There is a profound beauty to being part of the process of a couple reconnecting or an individual grasping the skills of emotion management. One of my clients said I had a gift for "normalizing without minimizing".
I also am licensed for Supervision for therapists in the process of being licensed in Washington, an aspect of my practice I enjoy very much.
