I have experience working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, identity formation, difficulty forming and maintaining meaningful relationships and life transitions. I also have experience working with individuals challenged by trauma (post traumatic stress, sexual abuse, chronic medical illness). I am certified as a couple therapist and work with couples to help improve communication in the relationship as a way to improve the health of the relationship and to ultimately help the couple feel closer to one another.
I am a licensed NYS Mental Health Clinical Psychotherapist and trained Psychoanalysis specializing in Couple and Individual Psychotherapy. My work focuses on building a stronger sense of self and confidence in order to improve overall functioning. I also have 12 years experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma.
I utilize a number of treatment modalities and interventions based upon clients' goals and needs. I believe in an integrative approach and work to provide a safe, and supportive environment as a way to promote insight and opportunity for real change.
