I work with clients with adjustment disorders caused from divorce; marriage; step-child issues; etc. I am competent with trauma issues and have attended additional training to expand my treatment knowledge. I have worked with adults and children with serious mental health disorders. We work on adjusting to the illness and the importance of medication. My client population ranges from age 3 1/2 to 60+. I use the training in play therapy I have acquired while working with children. I believe that I am a well rounded, competent therapist that can be very helpful with most problems presented to me.
I have been working with clients diagnosed with DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) since interning as part of my MSW program's requirements. DID (formerly known as MPD) is not as rare as some people believe it is. In the last 14 years, I have worked with 10 clients diagnosed with DID.
I provide late hours for students and working families. I offer a sliding fee for clients who don't have insurance. I have become a participating provider for many insurance providers and continually expand my participating provider base.
