I work with adults 18 years and older and focus on issues of depression, self-worth, identity, anxiety, and perinatal & parenting concerns. I am able to hear people's struggles and stories and work collaboratively to build and strengthen coping skills that work. That might mean using DBT, EMDR, or a combination of several therapeutic tools. I am comfortable working cross culturally and enjoy working with a wide variety of people with different backgrounds, ages, gender identities, sexual orientations, and immigrant experiences. I have experience working with diversity throughout my career.
I have a flexible approach to working with clients, as I'm comfortable using structured CBT/DBT strategies to address emotional regulation but also excel at less directive, client-centered therapy. I have completed a Nutrition for Mental Health certification and the basic training protocol for EMDR and use these modalities in my work with clients.
