I have worked with a wide range of clients in the 25+ years I have been in practice, and my ideal clients have the following in common: they know there are changes they want or need to make, and they are ready to do the work necessary.
My job is to be a support and a guide (when appropriate) as my clients figure out what their goals are and how to reach them. My job is to learn from them what they need to do the work they want to do, and use the experience and skills I have to help them do it. In the end, my "specialty" is to be the best therapist I can be for them.
I love my work and the people I work with. Watching my clients grow and discover new things about themselves is a great joy. I know I am not the right therapist for everyone, and everyone is not the right client for me. I do believe that it is important for us to meet and talk before we agree to work together, so I offer a free consultation session.
