I'm an experienced clinical psychologist with a flexible, welcoming, integrative psychotherapeutic approach. In a respectful, trusting, and collaborative setting, we'll access your innate vitality, curiosity, and capacity for growth and healing so you can develop more adaptive solutions to painful, confusing, repetitive, and unproductive patterns and life situations. Getting to know and accompany people on their unique therapeutic journeys is a privilege. Empathy, sensitivity, patience, lightness, and humor are essential in this rich work. I am bilingual (English/Spanish) and work with people of all ages and backgrounds.
People bring varied and complex issues to therapy, so I have training/expertise in many areas: trauma and abuse; depression, anxiety, self-esteem, loneliness; creativity and the arts; school and work; relationships and sexuality; eating and food issues; grief and loss; illness and pain; aging; LGBTI and alternative lifestyles; immigration and acculturation.
My relational psychodynamic approach is enriched by extensive training in trauma, AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), emotion-focused, integrative mind-body modalities (mindfulness, SE, and other experiential/somatic therapies). I also have a public mental health specialty in national/international human rights and social justice issues.
