Trauma takes on many forms: abuse, neglect, abandonment, divorce, assault, wartime experiences, accidents, or natural disasters, to name a few. I offer compassionate treatment for people who need assistance in overcoming the effects of disturbing events. I help clients improve their quality of life by developing coping skills, processing their thoughts, feelings and experiences, and empowering them to set healthy boundaries.
My approach is client centered and trauma informed. Certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), I find this method highly effective in alleviating distress in the shortest amount of time. I also utilize Flash Technique, CBT, HeartMath Biofeedback, Ego State therapies and other modalities and techniques to meet client needs.
I have a heart for our military community having been an Army spouse for 22 years. I have extensive experience working with adjustment and stress related disorders, including PTSD. I specialize in sexual trauma and have advanced training in EMDR with Children and Adolescents, Military and Veterans and enjoy working with First Responders. LGBTQIA2S+ allied
