I work primarily with adults with a wide range of presenting problems such as depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, bipolar, etc. My early training and early career jobs were in agencies serving primarily children and adolescents. I have shifted to working primarily with adults, but continue to keep my hand in a bit of therapy with adolescents. My background in child/adolescent therapy has been useful in working with adults struggling with their children, teens, and adult children. I also enjoy working with couples struggling with the trials and complexities of being in a marriage.
I have a great deal of clinical experience as I have been in private practice since 1991. I enjoy working with clients from many different walks of life and tend to cater my approach to the individual client. I tend to blend a variety of treatment approaches such as cognitive behavioral approaches to more insight oriented therapy.
I have a rather laid back style and focus on helping the client be comfortable in the therapy setting. I enjoy working with people in the process of making changes in their lives and navigating the stumbling blocks that we tend to encounter in our lives.
