As a therapist, I work with my clients to address issues around trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, self-esteem, identity issues, life transitions, and relationships. I particularly enjoy working with the LGBTQIA+ community, college students, and women. I am geek, goth, and gamer-friendly! I am able to see clients residing in NC, SC, and VA. I use a variety of therapeutic trauma-informed techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Expressive Arts, Exposure and Response Prevention, and Mindfulness.
Engaging in therapy is hard work and you are the expert on your own life. I don't believe in a “one size fits all” approach to mental health. I collaborate with my clients to identify goals and decide what type of treatment will work best for you. I tend to be more casual and eclectic in my approach. It is important to me that you feel comfortable and safe.
