First of all, you can call me Dee! I believe that many of our patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving (reacting) make sense given our context and experiences. I encourage my clients to explore both their past and present in order to better understand which patterns work for them and which patterns no longer serve them. By collaborating with the client (you!), I help them to identify their strengths and build new skills and insights for managing life’s stressors. I also incorporate mindfulness and psycho-education based on client need and interest.
Using evidenced based practices, I will help support and navigate you on your healing/therapeutic journey. Together, we will find the treatment modalities that work best for you! I provide an open and honest, judgement free space to share your most authentic feelings. I provide an ear but I may also challenge you on your negative thought patterns.
