There's a therapeutic movement going on that questions the way our culture pathologizes the self. I believe that what gets diagnosed as mental illness is often understood better as an adaptation to adversity that's no longer helpful.
I'm a licensed creative arts therapist and a board-certified music therapist with advanced training in the treatment of complex trauma. I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches – including AEDP, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, music therapy, and more – to connect people to their innate resources.
