I specialize in helping young adults and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds who are facing anxiety, identity challenges, and navigating life transitions.
You want to live a meaningful and fulfilled life, but instead, you feel exhausted, overwhelmed by anxiety, or uncertain about the future. Adjusting to a new place or navigating a major life transition can leave you questioning your identity. Are you struggling to reconcile who you’ve been with who you’re becoming? On the outside, everything seems fine, but on the inside, negative self-talk and self-doubt take over. You may appear in control, yet deep down, you feel disconnected from the life you want to live.

Using a non-judgmental, empathic, and warm approach, I like to meet each client where they are at and utilize the modalities that best suit their needs. I enjoy working with women, including college and graduate students. I have experience treating anxiety, depression, body image/self-esteem issues, relationship issues/insecure attachment, managing life stressors and transitions, as well as alcohol misuse and sobriety/sober curiosity.

My practice is varied, but I most often help people struggling with depression, Bipolar Disorder, anxiety and worry, panic, work stress, social anxiety, OCD, trauma, mild to moderate substance abuse/eating disorders, relationship difficulties, difficulty with life direction/life satisfaction, difficulties with emotional instability, and self esteem.
My career began at the Capital Institute for Cognitive Therapy, studying and providing supervision and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I have additionally pursued training in Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Psychodynamic, Mindfulness-based, and Metacognitive approaches. These are the main schools in the field, and combined allow me to offer both practical techniques for troublesome thoughts, feelings, and behaviors; as well as help you see subtleties in yourself that likely influence how and why you may be stuck.

I specialize in treating eating and body image issues, depression, anxiety, and difficulties associated with adjusting to life changes and transitions.
I approach therapy in a direct yet compassionate manner believing that long-term sustained change can only happen when growth occurs on the inside and flows outward. My goal is to help my clients walk their own individual path from self-judgment to self-transformation. I use a cognitive behavioral approach which guides you to understand how your thoughts/beliefs, feelings, and behaviors work together to determine your life experiences. Together, we will identify self-destructive patterns that stop you from getting what you want in life and replace them with constructive and goal-achieving ways of thinking and behaving.

Specializing in areas related to depression, anxiety, relationships, and trauma my hope for you is to leave therapy feeling revitalized and more authentic than ever before.
Are you feeling stuck, disillusioned, and concerned about your future? Do you find yourself fixated on worries that range anywhere from work to relationships to finances to sexuality? Are you finding that your current relationship is causing you more stress than it is bringing you joy and comfort? Life can be full of challenges and obstacles. The overconsumption of media can lead to a level of stress that hasn’t had to be dealt with before. It’s easy to feel lost and uncertain about everything and anything. Getting to a place where you feel more empowered and capable of managing life’s challenges can be tough and rewarding.

Although I work with a wide variety of concerns, these are a few that I work with most often: grief/loss, anxiety, Christian faith and spirituality concerns, major life transitions, relationship concerns, communication, depression, and career discernment.
Life can be quite challenging. Has life turned out differently than you hoped? Do you feel stuck or uncertain what to do with your emotions? We tend to either minimize our emotions or let them run wild, and either way, it can keep us from the life and relationships we desire. Feelings can steer us to flourishing places if we have the skills to gain insight into what they are telling us and respond to them effectively. I approach clients with compassion, empathy, and kindness to work collaboratively to foster connection with yourself and others.

I specialize in treating people with eating disorders, anxiety, depression and those who feel trapped by self destructive behaviors.
I treat individuals and couples who present with a range of needs, from debilitating eating disorders to mild anxiety and to issues that cannot be described in five words or less. I see the whole person rather than a group of symptoms with the recognition that people are complex and that most of us have difficulties in one or more areas of our lives. I work to help people become more integrated which, I believe, helps them lead more fulfilling lives. Life isn't so easy sometimes, but through insight change is possible.

When we are struggling with our mental health, the question often asked is “What’s wrong with you?” instead of “What happened to you?” Sadly, many people who have reached out for help have found themselves shamed, invalidated, and in worse shape than they were before. My goal is to provide an affirming and safe therapeutic environment for all identities, and I welcome individuals who are trying therapy for the first time, as well as those who have had previous experiences. I regularly work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and life transitions.
