When I think about the human condition, I think about the context of our lived experiences and how that varies from day-to-day. I take into consideration how it can look differently for each of us for many reasons. I have been working with clients in various modalities (i.e., individual, couples, family, group. etc.) since 2006. As a career changer, I bring all of my professional experiences to maximize our ability to achieve the type of forward movement you desire. Life can be hard enough, you don't have to do it alone. I am humbled to come alongside you in your quest to thrive, not just survive.
Areas of clinical specialty include racial and gender identity development, crisis, trauma, abuse, couples, family, parenting issues, Christian counseling, depression, anxiety, LGBTQIA+, grief and loss, anger management, and career. Some theoretical approaches are Social Justice Informed, Narrative, Trauma-Focused, Psychodynamic, and CBT.
I utilize an integrative approach, combining systems, narrative, and social justice theory as we navigate matters of concern across the lifespan. Historical and generation context shape our lived experiences in various ways. This is often revealed through culture, social, and inter/intrapersonal interactions. I would be humbled to help.
