I specialize in working with clients who are struggling with obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress, and other anxiety related conditions. My approach emphasizes giving the client control over the process of approaching the things, situations, and experiences that they fear. The goals for many of my clients often include reevaluating the things, situations, and experience that they fear to reduce anxiety; to decrease and/or eliminate medications for managing anxiety; and to live a more fulfilling life.
I rely upon evidence-based treatment approaches including exposure and response prevention; interoceptive exposure; cognitive, behavioral, and cognitive-behavioral approaches, functional analytic therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
I aim to find out where clients are at in their struggles, and to offer them the information they need to help them make difficult but productive choices.
