My approach to therapy is to help you make the changes in your thinking, feeling and acting that you want to make but might not know how or are afraid to make. Through careful listening, support, and help in rethinking your problem you will come to new insights, awareness, and gain new skills that will enable you to become the person you most want to be. You may have difficulty in relationships with others, or personal issues with which you struggle. Nevertheless, you have the power and the strengths within you to change your life and find healing and health.

I see many individuals who have relationship problems. My approach is to help them reduce their anxiety and anger and find safety in one another. I have training in dealing with trauma issues through EMDR. I have a theology background that enables me to utilize a person's spiritual resources.

Our practice is easy to find. We are located very near I-75 at the Dryden Rd. Exit. We employ a sliding fee scale based on your income. I see clients during weekdays and on some evenings by appointment. Visit our website at rskippercounseling.com
