ACT is an evidenced-based therapy consistent with the sentiment of the "Serenity Prayer" in focusing on change we can control; letting go of things we cannot.
When ACT is combined with the evidenced-based intervention approach of mindfulness-based exposure therapy, psychological healing from traumatic life events occurs by harnessing the brain’s natural information processing system to facilitate healing.
