My goal is to help you resolve current problems and long-standing patterns that may interfere with God’s perfect plan for your life. For the Christian client, research shows that progress is made more rapidly and completely when both psychology and theology are integrated. Christian Convergence Therapy (CCT) integrates psychology and theology in a way that encourages personal development through sound Christian teachings (e.g., it tells us “what” to do) and psychological techniques in a cognitive and behavioral format (e.g., it tells us “how”) to achieve our spiritual and psychological goals.
As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have 3 decades of experience providing therapy in a variety of settings (e.g., mental health centers, churches, schools, military bases, etc.) I specialize in evidence-based treatments for depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, and more utilizing CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, and other treatment modalities.
During our FREE initial consultation, I’ll ask questions to get a basic understanding of your treatment needs and goals. This time is an introduction to determine if outpatient teletherapy is indicated or if another level of care is recommended. It is also a time for you to ask questions to get to know me, my expertise, and the therapy process.
