Hello and welcome! It takes a lot of courage to consider getting support for a better life. I hope to be able to help. One of my goals in counseling is to facilitate growth and development through compassionate understanding and research-based solutions. I believe that authentic and productive change begins by establishing trust in the counseling relationship. This is the foundation on which I work with clients, as we talk about issues in their past, develop skills for overcoming present challenges, and create a new, more hopeful future together.
I work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds, racial/ethnic cultures and situations to address a range of needs, including anxiety and depression, LGBTQ+ questions and concerns, sexual and relational challenges, and career and life planning. I also specialize in positive psychology and the science of well-being research, practice, and application.
I have learned a lot from my own journey toward mental health and well-being as well as in the various graduate programs and experiences in counseling and coaching in a variety of settings.
