Hi, I'm Dave, I am a Licensed Addiction Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor. I have 3+ years of experience in the field of addiction and mental health focused outpatient therapy and 2 years of experience in an inpatient psychiatric facility. I have an interest in helping people figure out their substance use problems, address mental healthcare, learn stress management and anger management, explore trauma, and alleviate relationship conflicts. I am trained in various evidence-based practices including cognitive behavior therapy, dialectic behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
My goal is to provide a space which promotes growth. I won't tell you what is right/wrong or healthy/unhealthy. My job is to provide a warm and non-judgmental space so we can work towards your goals. I would like to help you realize the root of your troubles and discuss new coping mechanisms that work for you.
The first step is knowing you need help. The next step is asking for help which is vulnerable and daunting. But with the right help, you will get non-judgmental support.
