I enjoy working with people who have the desire and motivation to live a fulfilling life, but continue to find that something just doesn’t click. They may feel hard on themselves, unheard or misunderstood by those around them, haunted by the past, or otherwise nervous and tense. I enjoy working with people who believe they can get “there”, but simply don’t know where to start.
I focus on prioritizing the therapeutic relationship and shared goals. Healing takes place below the surface, and I use stories, humor, and sensitivity to build the trust needed for us to go there together. With that relationship, we can then define the what’s, how’s, and why’s of therapy, yielding an organized and energized, but emotionally rich space.
Counseling is a dynamic process, requiring an openness to change. I’m a committed life-long learner and seek to understand the nuances of life and society that affect any of my clients. I wield the “here-and-now” as a tool for us to explore ourselves in a way that leads to you achieving your goals. As a sherpa travels with the hiker, let me travel with you.
